Collins & Jewell adds HyDefintion Plasma

In an effort to stream line our process, C&J has purchased a new CNC HyDefinition Plasma cutter.  The installation and commissioning of this device brings in a new capability to our ever expanding infrastructure.  We can now output multiple sheet metal parts with increased speed and accuracy.  The process is extremely simple; it only requires a .DXF file for part layout and the software takes care of nesting to maximum material usage. 

Cutter capabilities are listed below:

• Cuts up to 6' wide and 18' long
  Bend lines and scribe marking
  Downloadable file formats:
      .dwg, .dxf, .igs, .iges, .eps, .dgn, .nc, .nc1, .tok

1. HyDefinition Plasma Material capabilities.
   1. Mild Steel:    0.0179"-1 1/2" thick
   2. Stainless:    0.036"-1" thick
   3. Aluminum:    0.0478"- 1" thick
2. Oxy-fuel (Torch cutting) will cut mild steel up to 8" thick
3. Other exotic material may be cut such as: Maganese, Titanium, Chrome, Magnesium, Galvanized, Nickel, Bronze, Brass, Cast Iron & Copper.
